*This class is for ages 18 and up

This a 6-week musical theatre audition intensive. Learn from Michael Donovan - one of the premier casting directors for Musical Theatre on the West Coast - everything you need to know about how to set yourself up for the best success in a musical theatre audition setting.

The list of topics will include:

  • Navigating the new (and constantly changing) audition landscape during (and post) COVID-19

  • Building an appropriate Book

  • Headshots/resumes

  • Audition room etiquette

  • Self-tapes

  • Your “Type”

  • and so much more

MUSICAL THEATRE AUDITION INTENSIVE - WINTER 2025 SCHEDULE

  • DATES:

    • Monday, 1/20/25 (7 - 10 PM)

    • Monday, 1/27/25 (7 - 10 PM)

    • Monday, 2/3/25 (7 - 10 PM)

    • Monday, 2/10/25 (7 - 10 PM)

    • Tuesday, 2/11/25 (7 - 10 PM)

    • Monday, 2/17/25 (7 - 10 PM - In the final class, there will be industry guests present to view a full audition and provide feedback)

  • LOCATION:

    • The Colony Theatre

    • 555 N 3rd St.

    • Burbank, CA 91502

    • Parking is in the Burbank Town Center parking garage immediately in front of the theatre (you will enter the theatre from the parking garage)

  • COST: This intensive costs $750, which breaks down to $125/class. Payment specifics will be discussed via email with the final class list.

  • NOTE: Must be 18 or older for enrollment

  • CLASS SIZE: The class will be a maximum of 12 students

  • TO ENROLL/BE PUT ON THE WAIT LIST:

    • You must email Richie at rf@michaeldonovancasting.com to express interest in this class.

    • The 12 spots will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, and interest beyond that will be placed on a wait list or given priority for the next round of classes.

    • Your spot will be held until you pay a non-refundable deposit (1/2 class cost) by a specified date. The balance of the class cost will be due by the first day of class.
